We are very proud to announce the launch of ‘Search Team’, the new music video by Ben Willams. Shot with an international cast of talented actors on location in Helsinki, the project was an ambitious experiment and a wonerful creative collaboration.
Sunday 11th it was the 100th centenary of the end of the second world war. To honour the event, the Imperial War Museum North commissioned a special performance by young musicians to reflect on the special moment in history. A short documentary of the event and the process will be online soon.
We were proud to have filmed a lot of the content for Sketchbook Skool’s new online course: Watercolor Rules (and how to break them). Filming was intense as we sometimes covered up to 30 videos in each day. Its a wonderful course and a great opportunity to explore watercolours in a fun and creative way.
Manchester based actor Hannah Ellis Ryan, is now set to have a starring role on Coronation Street. She will be playing the long lost daughter of soap veterans Jim and Liz McDonald. She is an excellent actress and you can see some of her performances in our Play With Fire theatre trailer and our Veganuary advert. We wish Hannah all the best in her breakthrough TV appearance.
Envelope Films’ Director of Photography Sam Twyman has been nominated for a best Cinematography award at the New York Twin Tiers Festival this September for his work on the short film ‘A Father’s Day‘. Produced by Chris Lane and directed by Mat Johns, the film is an unusual take on a zombie film, with the undead taking the lead roles.
Envelope Films were very proud to film content for Sketchbook Skool’s new watercolour online course. This week we filmed a masterclass with renowned artist Ian Fennelly as he demonstrated his process of painting the beautiful locations of Liverpool.
Yesterday marked the 50th anniversary of one of the most groundbreaking films in the history of cinema, Stanley Kubrick’s 2001. Warner Brothers announced today that they will be releasing a theatrical 70mm print of the film for distribution. We are hoping that this print will also make it into British Cinemas!
