Cyberbully Project Completed

On 17, Mar 2014 | No Comments | In News | By admin

One of our biggest projects at Envelope Films has been the production of the interactive film, Cyberbully. Commissioned last October by Mencap, we worked with a fabulous group of kids from a mixed abilities school near Wigan to develop the story and concept. The mammoth project included a series of workshops, auditioning students at the school, writing the complex script, filming in the school for 6 days and editing it all together ready to be built into a Flash program. The finished interactive film lasts for 10 minutes with many decision points and includes 10 possible routes through the story! Right, job done, time for the next project!

Special thanks to Flash developer James Starkie and location sound / production assistant Jonny Pratt.

This Could Be Rotterdam

On 28, Feb 2014 | No Comments | In News | By admin

It is Rotterdam!

That’s right, Envelope Films are in Rotterdam attending the international Kino Kabaret in the Netherlands. The Kino Kabaret encourages collaboration and experimentation between film makers of all ages and abilities as they come together in a mad creative jam. This time, the Kino lab was held at de Fruitvis, an incredible space for the event. Cameras are flying everywhere (literally a helicopter camera!), actors are leaping from the walls and we’re just about to help make a film set in a tunnel. Life doesn’t get better than this!

At Envelope Films, we’ve filmed in some great locations including Donnington race track, various recording studios and a live surgery lab, but the Etihad stadium in Manchester was a great location for filming a corporate promo video today. Finally, we get a box seat!

Let’s Fly To The Moon – On VEVO

On 02, Jan 2014 | No Comments | In News | By admin

One of the most creatively rewarding projects that we completed in 2013 was the video Let’s Fly To The Moon for The M’Goo Project. Filmed at the stunning Bargehouse in London (the old Oxo factory), the video features incredible performances from West End dancers Alex Thomas, Matthew Holland, Harriet Bunton and Imogen Brooke. With choreography by Matt Holland and a story inspired by an open letter by Frank Ocean, the video explores love, lust, longing and character in a complicated 4 way relationship. The video is now available to watch on VEVO. Enjoy!
